What does love mean?

What does love mean? What does Love mean? Well love means alot of different things to alot of people. I recently recieved a email from a friend and would like to share it with you all. What does Love mean? a group of professional people posed this question to a group of 4 to 8 year olds, "What does love mean?" The answers they got were broader and deeper than anyone could have imagined. See what you think: "When my grandmother got arthritis, she couldn't bend over and paint her toenails anymore. so my grandfather does it for her all the time, even when his hands got arthritis too. That's love." Rebecca-age 8 "When someone loves you, the way they say your name is different. You just know that your name is safe in their mouth." Billy-age 4 "Love is when a girl puts on perfume and a boy puts on shaving cologne and they go out and smell each other." Karl-age 5 "Love is when you go out to eat and give somebody most of your French fries without making them give you any of theirs." Chrissy-age 6 "Love is what makes you smile when you're tired." Terri-age 4 "Love is when my Mommy makes coffee for my Daddy and she takes a sip before giving it to him, to make sure the taste is OK." Danny-age 7 "Love is when you kiss all the time. Then when you get tired of kissing, you still want to be together and you talk more. My Mommy and Daddy are like that. They look gross when they kiss." Emily-age 8 "Love is what's in the room with you at Christmas if you stop opening presents and listen." Bobby-age 7 (WOW!) "If you want to learn to love better, you should start with a friend who you hate," Nikka-age 6 (we need a few million more Nikka's on this planet) I could go on and on, but can see what I mean. This email was a very long one.So I would like tell one of mine. Mine: "Love is spending every moment that you can with your partner and still wanting more. Thank you all Huggs and Licks Alphawolf P.S. please comment and leave your meaning of love, I would like to read them. |

very very sweet & i agree we do need many more Nikka's in the world... Love is when ur just plain worn out 4 sex & ur partner still wants 2 b with u & try 2 make u feel better...

I was just discussing this with a friend of mine. We had many different ideas of what love might be, but my favorite was: Love is not two people so enmeshed in one another than they lose their individuality. Love is two individuals joined by a bond that keeps them firmly at one another's side. Two poles firmly strapped together are stronger than any single pole. Out of the mouths of babes. Love to me is knowing that no matter how bad things get, or how stupid I act, (yup I do. lol), that you will be there for me, and with me. I have never been this comfortable with anyone in my life. YOU are my love. Love ya hun. Laurie

This gave me goose bumps when I read it and I would love to see the whole of the email and then I could cry too!!   Love is....... A series of Ups and Downs

There is no words that can say what love means, love is an act that is shown between friends and family and people that care deeply about each other. Or at least that is my thought on it.
