PLEASE READ AND COMMENT IF YOU HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL Normally, I try like hell to keep my different areas of my life separated, but I'm making an exception for this. One of my closest, dearest friends is stranded in Britain due to the Eyjafjallajoekull eruption. Does anyone have ANY suggestions on how to get out of Europe to the U.S.? A bunch of us are working on trying to figure out how to get her home on time, but it's looking grim. She's willing to take any suggestions on how to circumvent the ash plume. Spain might be a possibility but everyone and their brother is heading there. I think her only stipulations is a place where she doesn't need a visa. She's living in England on a student visa, but still has American citizenship. ANY suggestions are useful, and if I happen to know you personally (like, we hang out on a semi-regular basis), I will be willing to do some sort of non-sexual favor. On a side note, I really should blog something sex related eventually, but due to the lack of sex in my life right now, it looks like it might be awhile.   |

If she's still stranded (some flights went out this morning)don"t restrict your thinking to just Spain. Rome is open and is easier to get to in some ways!

Considering when you wrote the post, was your friend able to make it back ok?

I've only been to the Philippines during vacation time but I would imagine that if you're stranded someplace, perhaps going to a US embassy and explaining the situation may help in her getting home?
